UniServity announces 2nd Annual Learning Platform Awards for Excellence 2009
24th March 2009
UniServity is delighted to announce the 2nd Annual Learning Platform Awards for Excellence. The 2009 Awards recognise and celebrate the success of schools, learners and individuals from around the world for their creative and innovative use of the cLc Learning Platform to support teaching and enrich the learning experience.
The Learning Platform Awards for Excellence 2009 are open to all teachers, schools, LA’s and students using the cLc Learning Platform around the world and build upon the success of the 2008 Awards with Winners and Highly Commended Schools coming from throughout the UK and as far afield as Hong Kong.
It doesn’t matter how long you have been using the cLc, as we are looking for creative use of the cLc which extends learning beyond everyday practice: innovation and authentic collaborative learning experiences. We are looking for quality rather than quantity – so your nomination could be for one specific learning experience with a small group of children, or with a whole school. The Awards are an opportunity to share your successes. One of the principal aims of the Learning Platform Awards for Excellence is to share best practice with other cLc users: sharing your expertise so that others can benefit from your experiences.
Winning Schools (6 winners in 2008) will receive a cheque for £500 for future School Development, a framed certificate and trophy.
To enter for an Award, please visit www.clcsuccess.com where you will find more details of the Awards, an Entry Form and Entry Criteria. You will also find an overview of the 2008 Winning Entries and a selection of Winning Presentations.
Closing date for entries is June 30th 2009. A Judging Panel will announce the Winners and Highly Commended Schools on 6 July 2009. Awards will be presented during the Autumn 2009 series of ‘cLc User Events’ (dates to be determined).
